Move an approved ad brief from Slack to generation and back.

A platform-agnostic operating specification for agencies and creative teams. Arcads is one possible generation tool when the workspace has authenticated external API access.

Happy path

01

Collect an approved brief

A slash command opens a short modal for client, script or brief, output format, actor or template reference, and source assets.

02

Verify the Slack request

Check the signing-secret HMAC, reject stale timestamps, and keep tokens and generation credentials server-side.

03

Validate the production contract

Require every agreed field, confirm the approved recipe, and return missing inputs before consuming credits.

04

Create one generation job

Submit the brief through the approved platform endpoint and save its external run ID with an idempotency key.

05

Return status to Slack

Acknowledge immediately, then poll or receive a webhook until the job succeeds, fails, or reaches the timeout boundary.

06

Deliver and log

Post the result link or actionable failure to the originating Slack context and retain a concise run record.

Acceptance tests

  • A bad signature or request older than five minutes is rejected.
  • Missing required fields consume no generation credits.
  • Replaying the same Slack submission creates no second job.
  • Every accepted request exposes its external job ID to the requester.
  • A completed job returns a usable result link to the originating context.
  • A failure or timeout returns an actionable state without exposing credentials.

Make it operational

One command. One recipe. One visible result.
